US Routes - An Introduction

When named, long distance, highways gave way to numbered routes and subsequently to the Eisenhower Interstate Highway System, we began to lose the romance of traveling along American's open roads. This section is dedicated exclusively to the US Routes and named highways like the Dixie Highway, the Lincoln Highway, and even cross-border routes like the Jefferson Highway.
