Roadside monument - Flag at half staff to honor a recently fallen soldier World War II Memorial
Breckenridge, Gratiot County
Although this is a memorial to those that served us during World War II, on this day, the flag stood at half staff to honor a Michigan soldier that has fallen in Iraq.
The memorial area is part of a roadside park that also recalls the construction of the railroad line
that brought prosperity to the farmers of this area in the late 1800's.
